Housing Loan Calculator ("the app") is made by KF Production. This policy explains what the app does with your information. In short: there is no account, your calculations stay on your device, and we run no servers that receive them.
What stays on your device
Each calculation is saved in the app's history on your device (property price, down payment, loan term, interest rate, fees and results), so you can open it again. Calculations not marked as favourites are deleted after 90 days, and you can delete your history or favourites at any time. The income and commitments you enter on the affordability screen are not saved. Settings such as language and theme are stored on your device too. We cannot see any of this.
Interest rate
To pre-fill the interest rate, the app reads the Overnight Policy Rate that Bank Negara Malaysia publishes at api.bnm.gov.my, at most once a day. The request carries nothing about you; like any web request, it shows your IP address to Bank Negara's server.
Sharing
When you share a result, the app hands it to the app you choose (for example email or a chat app). Where it goes is your choice; the app does not upload it anywhere by itself.
Advertising
The app shows ads from Google AdMob. The AdMob SDK may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address (which gives an approximate location), and information about ad interactions and app performance, to serve and measure ads and to prevent fraud. On Android, Google may use this information to show ads based on your interests, and you can reset or delete your advertising ID in the system settings. On iPhone the app never asks for permission to track you, so AdMob cannot read the iPhone's advertising identifier.
Nothing else is sent
There is no account or sign-in, and the app contains no analytics.
Device backup
Android's own device backup may copy the app's history and settings to your Google account, if you have device backup turned on; on iPhone, your iCloud or computer backup may include them. This is handled by Android or Apple, not by us.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13.
Deleting your data
Delete calculations in the app, or clear the app's storage or uninstall it to remove everything. We hold no copy to delete.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new date.
