Shelfbell keeps track of expiry dates for food, medicine and anything else on your shelf, and reminds you before they run out. Add items by hand, by scanning a barcode, or by photographing the label; the label is read on your phone.

About the app
Google Drive (optional)
If you connect Google Drive, Shelfbell keeps a copy of your items, photos and settings in a hidden folder in your own Drive, so they stay in step across your phones and can be restored. The app asks only for access to that folder (drive.appdata). It cannot see your other files, and we run no server of our own.
Features
- Scan the barcode: items you added before fill themselves in
- Scan the label: the expiry and manufacture dates are read on the phone, and you check them first
- Expiry worked out from the manufacture date and shelf life
- One reminder a day at the time you choose, 7, 3 or 1 days before, or any days you like
- Opened items too: "use within 12 months after opening"
- Search, filter by category and sort by expiry date
- Back up everything, photos included, to one file, with an optional password
- Optional sync between your phones through your own Google Drive
